VERITY—THE SWORD OF TRUTH

This blade can only be wielded by one whose thoughts and character are aligned with truth. Any misalignment will feel jarringly pronounced upon an attempt to use the weapon, causing the sword to become too heavy to lift or too awkward to swing.

Any being wounded by the weapon is forced to confront all truth they may be avoiding. The undead perish at the mere sight of the blade. And for most creatures of darkness, even a minor wound is promptly fatal. Those who wield Verity in the name of justice find that it can part even the strongest metals or cut the hardest gemstones. Verity is one of the five great swords.
