The Knapsack is a magical item that has an extra-dimensional storage inside.

Description

It has an extra-dimensional storage compartment so that once a person is inside, the knapsack can be flattened, jostled, or dropped. The person reportedly wouldn't feel anything, even if the knapsack falls. The art of making such things was lost long ago.

Appearance

It is made of tan leather. Inside has some rungs, and past that a lot of storage crates and barrels. There are air vents for circulation but they do not lead outside, to prevent intruders.

Secrets of the Dragon Sanctuary

Kendra is given the knapsack while held captive by Torina Barker, unknowingly by her presumably dead grandma Gloria Larsen. She and Cody snuck out while hiding inside.

Later, Seth stows away with Bubda, the hermit troll. Mendigo also accompanied them in case of emergency. Once they secretly entered the keep, Camarat sensed both of them inside. During the adventure the team regularly used the space to hide in. Warren also spent time there once he was gutted by the peryton.

Eventually Warren and Bubda were trapped inside the knapsack when Navarog burnt it, disconnecting the connection from the inside and the actual world. The Sorensons were worried, but they were assured that there was enough provisions inside for them to survive.

Keys to the Demon Prison

Once Kendra, Trask, and Elise retrieved the Translocator, they teleported inside to rescue Warren. Later, Gloria Larsen mentioned that she put Bubda there since the home was suitable for him.
